Interaction of a nanomagnet with a weak superconducting link
May 21st, 2019, 16:00 in the BLTP JINR (Auditorium of 4th floor)
M. Nashaat (BLTP JINR and Cairo university)
The coupling between the superconducting current and magnetic moment in the SFS Josephson junction plays an important role in the dynamics of this system. we study a Josephson junction coupled to a nanomagnet with an easy-axis magnetic anisotropy. We demonstrate the manifestation of ferromagnetic resonance in the maximum amplitude of the magnetic moment components.

Stationary charge imbalance in the system of coupled Josephson junctions
May 22nd, 2019, 11:30 in the BLTP JINR (Auditorium of 2nd floor)

We investigate stationary charge imbalance effect in the system of coupled overdamped Josephson junctions. We show that the stationary charge imbalance in the resistive state brings to a decrease of the Josephson frequency in the junctions of the stack. The formed difference in frequencies leads to the nonuniform switch of the junctions along the stack to the Shapiro step regime in the presence of external electromagnetic radiation.
